Stuttering therapy
Process & costs

Therapy Procedure
The intensive therapy program lasts three weeks and is conducted on an outpatient basis. Participants stay in self-selected holiday accommodations in Bad Marienberg. The Tourist Information of Bad Marienberg can assist in finding suitable lodging. As a recognized health resort, Bad Marienberg also offers parents the opportunity to apply for an open spa treatment.
The stuttering therapy is held full-day, with a lunch break at the accommodation. Parents or accompanying persons participate in the therapy for approximately two hours each day to stay informed about the progress and provide optimal support during leisure time.
Our therapy concept is designed for children, adolescents, and young adults who stutter, typically between the ages of 10 and 35.

Diagnostics
Your symptoms and criteria will be thoroughly assessed to determine whether this therapy concept is suitable for you. The timing of such an intensive therapy is also very important. If the criteria are met, we will discuss your therapy schedule with you.
Intensive Therapy
The goal of the intensive therapy is to learn a new speech pattern that replaces the incorrectly established speech patterns in the brain. This new way of speaking serves as a bridge from stuttering to normal speech.
After the Therapy
The patient must maintain the new speech pattern in all situations to reinforce the newly established patterns. There are follow-up assessment days and at least one stabilization week on-site.
The stuttering of a family member impacts everyone. Parents are actively involved in the therapy from the beginning.
