Intensive Stuttering Therapy by Schütz
A groundbreaking therapeutic method:

This is the greatest wish of many people affected. They struggle with daily speech blocks, experience exclusion and bullying. The consequences: psychological problems and withdrawal from social environments. Stuttering leads to loneliness.
From a medical and speech therapy perspective, stuttering is classified as a chronic condition. Therapies often address only the symptoms.
Many children are already considered beyond treatment by the age of 10.
Our work begins where others stop.

As seen in

3 weeks of intensive therapy, 6 days a week – in a small group. The incorrect speech pattern is completely replaced. Parents receive daily guidance.
And: After the intensive phase, we accompany each patient for at least one year with extensive follow-up care.
In the DELPHIN Therapy, speech is reprogrammed. The new speech pattern is anchored in the subconscious. The new way of speaking is oriented towards normal speech.
Our goal is to completely replace and overcome stuttering.
Experiencing speech fluency in stressful situations also reduces psychosocial stress. A long-term scientific study by the Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz confirmed the effectiveness of our therapy method.

Out of stuttering and into speech fluency and confidence.
In this therapy, a new way of speaking is learned that consists of tones which release tension in the vocal cords.
These tones are melodic and include a rising and falling movement, momentum, and release—similar to the motion of a dolphin leaping out of the water and gently falling back in.

Diagnostics
Your symptoms and criteria will be thoroughly assessed to determine whether this therapy concept is suitable for you. The timing of such an intensive therapy is also very important. If the criteria are met, we will discuss your therapy schedule with you.
Intensive Therapy
The goal of the intensive therapy is to learn a new speech pattern that replaces the incorrectly established speech patterns in the brain. This new way of speaking serves as a bridge from stuttering to normal speech.
After the Therapy
The patient must maintain the new speech pattern in all situations to reinforce the newly established patterns. There are follow-up assessment days and at least one stabilization week on-site.

Founder Sabine Schütz developed this unique intensive therapy over 35 years ago. Her daughter, Sonja-Marie Schütz, joined the practice in 2014 as a licensed speech therapist after completing her studies.
"Our motivation is to provide a completely different path and to help stuttering children, adolescents, and adults achieve their therapeutic goals. Most people affected simply want to live their lives without stuttering."
The stuttering of a family member impacts everyone. Parents are actively involved in the therapy from the beginning.
