Intensive Stuttering Therapy by Schütz

A groundbreaking therapeutic method:

In cooperation with:

Mit folgenden Krankenkassen besteht eine Kooperation

Speech confidence instead of stuttering. For the long term.

This is the greatest wish of many people affected. They struggle with daily speech blocks, experience exclusion and bullying. The consequences: psychological problems and withdrawal from social environments. Stuttering leads to loneliness.

From a medical and speech therapy perspective, stuttering is classified as a chronic condition. Therapies often address only the symptoms.

Many children are already considered beyond treatment by the age of 10.

Our work begins where others stop.

As seen in

Our concept:

3 weeks of intensive therapy, 6 days a week – in a small group. The incorrect speech pattern is completely replaced. Parents receive daily guidance.

And: After the intensive phase, we accompany each patient for at least one year with extensive follow-up care.

In the DELPHIN Therapy, speech is reprogrammed. The new speech pattern is anchored in the subconscious. The new way of speaking is oriented towards normal speech.

Our goal is to completely replace and overcome stuttering.

Experiencing speech fluency in stressful situations also reduces psychosocial stress. A long-term scientific study by the Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz confirmed the effectiveness of our therapy method.

A Dolphin Therapy – without real dolphins?

Out of stuttering and into speech fluency and confidence.

In this therapy, a new way of speaking is learned that consists of tones which release tension in the vocal cords.

These tones are melodic and include a rising and falling movement, momentum, and release—similar to the motion of a dolphin leaping out of the water and gently falling back in.

What to expect during three weeks of  intensive therapy   and one year of comprehensive follow-up.

Registration

After your non-binding registration on our website, you will be invited to an online diagnostic appointment.

Diagnostics

Your symptoms and criteria will be thoroughly assessed to determine whether this therapy concept is suitable for you. The timing of such an intensive therapy is also very important. If the criteria are met, we will discuss your therapy schedule with you.

Intensive Therapy

The goal of the intensive therapy is to learn a new speech pattern that replaces the incorrectly established speech patterns in the brain. This new way of speaking serves as a bridge from stuttering to normal speech.

After the Therapy

The patient must maintain the new speech pattern in all situations to reinforce the newly established patterns. There are follow-up assessment days and at least one stabilization week on-site.

Our Concept is Unique

Our unique approach makes it possible to overcome stuttering and achieve fluent, confident speech.

Founder Sabine Schütz developed this unique intensive therapy over 35 years ago. Her daughter, Sonja-Marie Schütz, joined the practice in 2014 as a licensed speech therapist after completing her studies.

"Our motivation is to provide a completely different path and to help stuttering children, adolescents, and adults achieve their therapeutic goals. Most people affected simply want to live their lives without stuttering."

Stuttering affects the whole family.

The stuttering of a family member impacts everyone. Parents are actively involved in the therapy from the beginning.

Testimonials

“After participating in countless speech therapy programs that were all unsuccessful, I came to DELPHIN Stuttering Therapy in 2013 as a severely stuttering child.

As a result, I was completely fluent and spoke normally. After many years without speech difficulties, my fluency gradually declined when I started high school due to general stress and several significant life events (which, in hindsight, was my own fault, as I did not take the situation seriously enough and did not apply the speech pattern during that time). For this reason, I recently participated in a refresher week.

These few days were enough for me to speak perfectly fluently again. This shows that the speech method developed by Ms. Schütz works reliably—even after 11 years.

I am now speaking in the therapy’s speech pattern, which, with some practice and discipline, will gradually transition back into normal speech. Stuttering is fully curable. I and many other participants of this therapy have experienced this firsthand.

DELPHIN Therapy has given me immense quality of life and has made me an open-minded, happy, and above all, stutter-free person. I will be grateful to Sabine and Sonja Schütz for the rest of my life. It is a gift that these two people exist. I strongly recommend this therapy to anyone who stutters—it will change your life.

“From my earliest memories, I struggled with stuttering. At school, I was bullied because of it, repeatedly hearing insults such as ‘stuttering face’ or ‘learn to speak before you talk to me.’ My parents even decided to delay my school enrollment by a year so that I would be with older students, hoping to reduce the risk of bullying.

Together with my mother, I tried countless ways to overcome my stuttering, including visits to speech therapists, alternative methods, craniosacral therapy, and relaxation courses. Unfortunately, nothing brought the desired success, and I was soon considered beyond treatment, with no noticeable improvement from all the endless therapy sessions.

Then my mother heard about Ms. Sabine Schütz from a friend on television (I believe it was Stern TV). Shortly afterward, I began my therapy in Bad Marienberg at about 10 or 11 years old. Today, at 26, I am stutter-free, confident, have a large circle of friends, am in the final stages of my medical studies, and enjoy a normal life without speech limitations.

I am grateful to my parents for their determination, refusing to accept being ‘beyond treatment.’ Of course, special thanks go to Ms. Sabine and Sonja Schütz, who fought tirelessly for recognition of their therapy and enabled me to live a stutter-free life.

I often wonder where I would be today if I hadn’t been fortunate enough to undergo this therapy. Sometimes I watch the video from my first therapy day to remind myself how lucky I am! Anyone who struggles with stuttering should consider this therapy.”

“I participated in DELPHIN Therapy as a severe stutterer and am absolutely thrilled with the results. I now speak completely fluently. The best part is having confident speech in every situation. Even under a lot of stress, I can now speak smoothly. Many thanks to you for this therapy!”

“At the beginning of 2022, our 13-year-old son attended stuttering therapy with Sabine and Sonja Schütz. Before that, he had stuttered severely for more than seven years, and it had worsened year by year. In the months before the therapy, he could barely complete a full sentence. His entire life was affected by stuttering.

When we first heard about DELPHIN Therapy, after many years of unsuccessful speech therapy, we didn’t have high expectations. But very quickly, we realized that the therapy is truly unique and helped our son immensely.

We arrived in Bad Marienberg with a severely stuttering child and returned home with a completely fluent child. More than a year after the therapy, he still speaks fluently, has gained great self-confidence, and has truly blossomed!

The 3.5 weeks are an intense period for both the child and parents, and it can be exhausting. But every second is worth it—the therapy is so special, and the two Schütz women dedicate so much energy, heart, and expertise to the children. Stuttering is completely curable, and we wish that many more families could learn about this amazing therapy! We are so grateful and strongly recommend that all parents of children who stutter reach out to these two therapists.”

“The DELPHIN Intensive Stuttering Therapy was our salvation. Thanks to Ms. Schütz’s therapy, our son can now speak normally. He stuttered very severely until he was eight years old. Speech therapy sessions since kindergarten had not helped him.

After our son watched the before-and-after videos of other children and adolescents, he finally had hope for a cure. During the therapy, he learned a new speech pattern that sounds melodic and replaces his old stuttering way of speaking. In just three weeks, children learn the new speech pattern. After only a few days—during what Ms. Schütz lovingly calls the ‘enchantment’—our son was able to tell us something completely fluently for the first time.

I was in tears of joy. The therapy involves a lot of practice, reading exercises, and relaxation techniques, but it is absolutely worth it. The stuttering and fear of speaking are gone, and so much more joy of life and self-confidence have come in their place.”

“Incredible, but true! At 37 years old, I had already resigned myself to living the rest of my life with stuttering. But it did not have to be that way. After a random recommendation from a doctor and some struggles with our social security system, I was finally able to attend the therapy.

In my opinion, the ‘Schütz women’ offer much more than traditional speech therapy, as patients are treated holistically, recognized as a whole person, and cared for accordingly.

My personal result after just under four months is phenomenal and almost unbelievable. My stuttering is gradually leaving my life, along with all the accompanying difficulties that come with this dreadful condition.

Thank you so much, dear Schütz women! Not only for helping me regain a part of myself that I had almost lost, but also for helping me further develop my personality.”

"The two ladies, Sabine and Sonja Schütz, completely freed our 13-year-old son from his severe stuttering. Our son had attended traditional speech therapy sessions for years without any success.

Then we discovered Sabine Schütz’s stuttering therapy online and immediately registered our son. Looking back today, we can say that the therapy was a demanding journey, but it was absolutely worth it for our son and his future.

To anyone willing to invest a lot of effort into a therapy, I can warmly recommend Sabine Schütz’s stuttering therapy. We are very grateful to Sabine and Sonja Schütz."
